Our competition and antitrust team provides a broad array of services comprising preventive counsel on market power abuse, cartels, control of economic concentrations, State aid, and unfair competition issues as well as related litigation at administrative and judicial venues.
The team has represented the country’s foremost retail chain in matters of compliance with Ecuador’s free competition law since its enactment in 2011, garnering extensive experience from over 30 economic concentration notification procedures with the Superintendency for Market Power Control (SCPM), the nation’s free competition authority, and successfully acting in dozens of legal proceedings regarding unfair competition, market power abuse, and collusive agreements, including in Andean Community proceedings.
Such experience has led the SCPM to appoint our team members as Non-Governmental Advisors to the International Competition Network.
