Mateo Herrera joined Lexvalor Abogados in 2023 after getting his law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, where he placed six times on the Law School’s Felipe Fogarty List, which recognizes the best students in each semester. He was a commissioner of the Law School Association in 2020 and a member of the Editorial Committee of the Law School journal Ruptura.
He has won several awards in local and foreign competitions in public international law litigation, including the award for best speaker and brief at the XVI Yachay Regional Competition organized by the Pontificia Universidad Católica of Peru.
He has been counseling on tax matters for national and international companies as part of the firm’s Tax Law Department since joining the firm.
