She worked in the Office of the Presidency of the Republic in the General Legal Secretariat (Secretaría General Jurídica) and in the General Secretariat of Public Administration and the Cabinet (Secretaría General de la Administración Pública y Gabinete), where her main responsibility was developing and reviewing primary and secondary regulations on assorted matters.
She was also employed as a legal counsel to the General Director of the Internal Revenue Service (SRI), who appointed her as a member of the Ecuadorian delegation to the XLVI Plenary of Representatives and Working Groups of the Latin American Financial Action Group (GAFILAT) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she took part in the presentation, defense, and approval of the country’s Mutual Evaluation Report. Additionally, she was part of the Ecuadorian delegation to the 10th Global Forum Competent Authorities Conference in Tbilisi, Georgia, in May 2023.
Extra-professionally, she was a teaching assistant for the Commercial and Company Law and the Public International Law courses at Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Between 2017 and 2020, she held the position of Editorial Assistant of Iuris Dictio, the USFQ Law School journal.
Additionally, she participated as part of the Ecuadorian delegation at the 10th Conference for Competent Authorities of the Global Forum, held in Tbilisi, Georgia, in May 2023.
Following this experience, she returned to Lexvalor Abogados and joined the corporate and tax law teams. She is currently developing her professional practice in the tax area of the firm.
