Juan Francisco Almeida joined Lexvalor Abogados in 2008 and was promoted to partner in 2014. Throughout his career he has worked in the trust, corporate, real estate, and dispute resolution law areas and is fully experienced in putting together all types of business and real estate projects as well as in dispute resolution.

His command of business and financial law has led him to concentrate primarily on the firm’s corporate practice, with particular focus on facilitating all types of business deals and projects, funding for urban and energy projects, and reorganizing business groups, as well as on acquisitions, mergers, and takeovers, including the drafting of shareholder agreements, share purchase and sale agreements, and other such necessary documents.
He leads the Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice of the Firm, bringing extensive experience in both domestic and cross-border transactions. He also advises startups and supports the development of new business ventures, leveraging his strong expertise in corporate structuring and the reorganization of corporate groups.
In addition, he has experience in dispute resolution, providing comprehensive legal counsel to clients in proceedings before both ordinary courts and arbitral tribunals. He is a member of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Quito Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as Arbitral Secretary.
